World Hypertension Day
June 28
World Hypertension Day is observed every May 17 to raise awareness about the silent killer—high blood pressure. Often unnoticed and untreated, hypertension leads to serious complications like heart disease, kidney failure, and stroke.
At Largrier Foundation, we use this day to reach the underserved with free blood pressure checks, education, and early intervention. Many people in low-income communities live with dangerously high blood pressure without knowing it. We aim to change that—one screening at a time.
Our Commitment on World Hypertension Day:
- Organize free community screening events
- Educate on prevention, diet, and lifestyle changes
- Refer high-risk individuals for immediate care
- Distribute printed and digital materials in local languages
Early detection saves lives. Let’s beat hypertension together.
